What Is a Chiropodist?

A chiropodist is a healthcare provider who specializes in diseases and disorders of the foot.

A chiropodist will manage both chronic and acute conditions affecting foot and lower limb function. They are able to assess the biomechanics of the feet and lower limbs to prescribe and fit patients with custom foot orthotics. Chiropody is a regulated health profession.

Footsteps Podiatry Clinic is regulated by the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists of Ireland and also is part of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), we are also VHI, Laya Health Care and Aviva approved.
